Plus...Belmont's Everyday Market earns regional recognition, Gaston College baseball at Sims Legion Park and free Schiele Museum admission this Tuesday!

Hello, Gaston! (my old friend),
I heard the other day that Gaston Collegeās baseball team is playing at Sims Legion Park. I just love that field! Opening on April 10 in 1950, itās a field with history, character, and a soul of its own. Summer baseball may be a thing of the past there, but any baseball at Sims is better than none.
Itās almost as if the boys of summer have become the boys of winterāthatās just how the college baseball season works.
However, with the weather weāve had this week and whatās on the way this weekend, there may not be a better time to catch a game.
If you have a soft spot for baseball at Sims, youāll appreciate Wiley Cashās Garden & Gun essay (June/July 2018) about his love for the ballpark. After reading it, you might love Sims even moreāenough to watch the boys of winter channel the spirit of summers past.
Thanks for reading!
Ben
